1 Alleluia.
O praise God in his holiness; ♦︎
praise him in the firmament of his power.
2 Praise him for his mighty acts; ♦︎
praise him according to his excellent greatness.
3 Praise him with the blast of the trumpet; ♦︎
praise him upon the harp and lyre.
4 Praise him with timbrel and dances; ♦︎
praise him upon the strings and pipe.
5 Praise him with ringing cymbals; ♦︎
praise him upon the clashing cymbals.
6 Let everything that has breath ♦︎
praise the Lord.
Alleluia.

15 I will return again to my place
until they acknowledge their guilt and seek my face.
In their distress they will beg my favour:
6Come, let us return to the Lord;
for it is he who has torn, and he will heal us;
he has struck down, and he will bind us up.
2 After two days he will revive us;
on the third day he will raise us up,
that we may live before him.
3 Let us know, let us press on to know the Lord;
his appearing is as sure as the dawn;
he will come to us like the showers,
like the spring rains that water the earth.
4 What shall I do with you, O Ephraim?
What shall I do with you, O Judah?
Your love is like a morning cloud,
like the dew that goes away early.
5 Therefore I have hewn them by the prophets,
I have killed them by the words of my mouth,
and my* judgement goes forth as the light.
6 For I desire steadfast love and not sacrifice,
the knowledge of God rather than burnt-offerings.

1 The elder to the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth, and not only I but also all who know the truth, 2because of the truth that abides in us and will be with us for ever:
3 Grace, mercy, and peace will be with us from God the Father and from* Jesus Christ, the Fathers Son, in truth and love.
4 I was overjoyed to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as we have been commanded by the Father. 5But now, dear lady, I ask you, not as though I were writing you a new commandment, but one we have had from the beginning, let us love one another. 6And this is love, that we walk according to his commandments; this is the commandment just as you have heard it from the beginningyou must walk in it.
